Hi, I’m Anne. Do you love crochet? Do you love free crochet patterns? Welcome, you’re in the right place!
I enjoy making modern, simple crochet designs for my home and for myself and I’d love to share them with you here.
I consider myself to be an old soul, but that doesn’t mean old-fashioned or boring. My style is minimalist with a few lovely details thrown in. I love neutral and muted colour palettes and I’m all about comfort!
Where it all began
My gran and my mum taught me to knit when I was little. I remember making a strange teddy bear from yellow wool and a small baby cardigan for my stuffed rabbit.
Knitting was something I picked up and dropped over the years, stopping almost entirely in my 30s – I was working hard, doing a lot of overtime, while also studying, trying to make my way as an accountant. I gained my qualification, promotions and pay rises only to find I was desperately unhappy and burnt out.
Only As Brave
Around this time, I discovered and taught myself to crochet. Crochet became my new yarn obsession, a comforting way to unwind after a stressful day.
After a lot of soul searching I left my position as an accountant and took my finance skills to an educational charity. Now I’ve found a place where I feel like I “fit” and I have more time and energy for exploring other interests* and a bigger life.
*Ok fine, by other interests I’m really just talking about designing free crochet patterns and snuggling with my dog!
